About My hometown

I have lived in Madras for about thirteen to fifteen years, though I was born in Mcminville. Having been around for this long I now about a fair amount about the little town I live in. I live in a drive-through town, meaning that most folks you see driving in Madras are mostly passing through. However, if you're here to stay for a while, there are a few things I could tell you about the place. For instance, a little ways away from the local pool there are a set of three bear statues in the center of a traffic circle, or a hiking trail that leads to a scenic view of the town, and right below is the a giant M for Madras. There is also an excellent biking trail, with a small section where you can practice mini stunts (actually built by a local I know decently well). There has also been a few rennovations to the town, namely the water park, and adjustment to a playground structure called "Bean Park", turning it from an old, beat-up, wooden and metal playstructure, to a more modern, plastic design.
